The Simons Group is now a member of the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI), an association that seeks to develop standards and technologies for ensuring the authenticity and integrity of digital media. The group includes media and tech companies, nongovernmental associations, academics, technologists and journalists, who want trust and transparency at scale in the age of generative artificial intelligence (AI).
Formed in 2019, the CAI seeks the adoption of open content standards and tools that would help consumers better understand and evaluate media. The group believes a collaborative effort is a shared responsibility and will accelerate adoption.
