DESMAN
Putting 50 years of parking expertise to work online
DESMAN is a national firm that specializes in parking consulting, design, planning and restoration. Founded in 1973, the company had thousands of completed projects, loyal clients and decades of technical expertise. Its dated website communicated little of that value and made visitors work to find basic information.
Challenges
1.
The website gave prospects the wrong impression.
The dated site didn’t reflect DESMAN’s expertise, reputation or modern approach to parking consulting.
2.
The site didn’t answer buyers’ questions.
The firm’s leaders knew what clients asked, how projects unfolded and what distinguished the firm. Little of that expertise appeared online.
3.
Client work came first.
DESMAN's senior leaders bill their time to client projects. The firm needed to capture their knowledge without asking them to draft service and brand copy.
Solution
We began with a full content audit and identified opportunities to improve navigation, search visibility and content for DESMAN’s key audiences.
We then held three 30- to 45-minute group conversations with six DESMAN leaders. We asked about client needs, competitive positioning and common buyer questions. Our team handled the content strategy, drafting, SEO and voice and the participants reviewed the material once for accuracy.
In less than three hours of leadership time, we gathered enough material for 32 website pages, including 26 service pages, plus leadership and core brand content. The conversations also clarified DESMAN’s positioning. The firm had described itself as a team of architects, engineers and planners, although many of its clients work in those professions. Its leaders agreed that DESMAN should lead as a parking consultant.
We used their input to answer buyer questions about project costs, restoration planning and repair versus replacement. We also highlighted proof points such as a 95% repeat client rate, thousands of completed projects and an average team tenure exceeding 20 years. Finally, we created clear paths to each service and office, added a sortable news section and built the site in WordPress so DESMAN’s marketing team could manage updates internally.
Results
1.
Less than 3 hours of interviews informed 32 pages.
We turned the leaders’ insights into 26 service pages plus leadership and core brand content. They only reviewed the copy for accuracy.
2.
DESMAN leads with a clear market position.
The website presents the firm as a parking specialist across its content, navigation and search elements.
3.
3 conversations are still bringing in buyers.
The copy we created from those sessions hasn't needed a rewrite. Organic search remains DESMAN's top traffic source, with 10,563 sessions over the past year and 2,618 in the most recent 90 days.
