Technology/Telecom Writer – Freelance
We’re looking for a highly skilled freelance business-to-business technology writer who has experience in the telecom space. You should have a high-level understanding of telecom networks and their infrastructure, without the aid of an expert having to explain basic concepts.
You should be comfortable writing on topics from data centers to 5G networks to Wi-Fi, in a format that a broad audience can understand. You will need to be able to digest a lot of materials quickly and lead domestic and global interviews with subject matter experts. You should understand the audience and they’ll understand you because you’re able to combine your telecom expertise with the production of articles, ad copy, landing pages and more.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience writing and editing business-to-business telecom communications, be able to handle multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines with ease.
This is a remote freelance position, so you can work from the comfort of your home. We only require that you have the ability to perform domestic interviews during normal work hours, have flexibility outside of normal work hours for global interviews, and that you can receive and upload assignments via our project management system.

Some responsibilities include performing 360 degree deep-dive reviews into all faucets of a client’s business activities, markets and audience types; defining customer personas and journeys; identifying content gabs and needs; developing content strategies based on client’s business strategies. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience as a content strategist with a focus on content as it pertains to the customer experience. A solid tactical knowledge of all aspects of marketing with roots in the business-writing world will be helpful. Developing key messaging maps for client’s key audience and market segments.
